Anti-Wrinkle Injections

Anti-Wrinkle Injections

Botox, or anti-wrinkle injections, is an anti-aging treatment used to limit the action of facial muscles, softening and preventing unsightly lines and wrinkles. Anti-wrinkle injections are most typically utilised in the upper part of the face, with frown lines, forehead lines, and crow’s feet being the three most popular places. Anti-wrinkle treatment works by ‘freezing’ a muscle, reducing or stopping motion. This works wonders on wrinkles and lines, preventing the visible signs of ageing and giving you a more youthful appearance.

You can pick between a natural result with slight movement or a fully frozen result when obtaining these injections; your practitioner will discuss this with you.  we also offer lots more areas of botox at Facethetics.

The Results

All anti-wrinkle injections take up to 14 days for you to see the full results. You are able to get a top up if you still have visible wrinkles between day 14 to day 16 if you miss your top up you must wait the full cycle of 3 months before you can repeat it again. Anti wrinkle treatments last roughly 3-6 months.

At Facethetics we are strong believers of prevention being better than cure. It is a lot easier for us to prevent wrinkles from occurring through softening movement than it is for us to fix lines and wrinkle once they have already formed.

Anti-Wrinkle can also be used in other areas of the face and body to achieve other results such as:

Lip Flip

A Botox lip flip is a cosmetic procedure that involves the injection of a small amount of botulinum toxin (commonly known as Botox) into the muscles around the upper lip. The goal of this procedure is to create the appearance of fuller and more defined lips without actually adding volume through traditional lip filler injections.

The muscles around the mouth, particularly the orbicularis oris muscle, can cause the lips to turn inward or appear flat. By injecting Botox into these muscles, they can be relaxed, allowing the upper lip to gently roll outward. This can create the illusion of a fuller upper lip and enhance the natural shape of the lips.

It’s important to note that a Botox lip flip is not the same as traditional lip filler injections, where dermal fillers like hyaluronic acid are used to physically add volume to the lips. The lip flip is a more subtle approach, suitable for individuals who want a slight change in lip appearance without a significant increase in size great for those who don’t want dermal fillers.

Bunny Lines

“Botox bunny lines” refers to the use of Botox injections to address wrinkles or lines that form on the sides of the nose when a person smiles or scrunches their face. These lines are known as “bunny lines” because they can resemble the wrinkles that appear when a rabbit’s nose twitches. Bunny lines are a natural part of facial expression, but some individuals may find them bothersome or wish to minimize their appearance.

Botulinum toxin, is a neurotoxin that temporarily paralyzes muscles. It is commonly used for cosmetic purposes to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines by relaxing the underlying facial muscles responsible for creating those lines. In the case of bunny lines, a small amount of Botox may be injected into the muscles on the sides of the nose to relax them and reduce the formation of wrinkles when a person smiles or makes certain facial expressions.

Chin Dimpling

Botox chin dimpling refers to a cosmetic procedure that involves using Botox injections to reduce or eliminate the appearance of dimples or creases in the chin area. Dimples in the chin can sometimes be caused by overactive muscles that pull on the skin, creating a puckered or dimpled appearance. Botox, which is a brand name for botulinum toxin, is a neurotoxin that temporarily paralyzes muscles by blocking nerve signals. When injected into the chin muscles responsible for the dimpling, Botox can help relax those muscles, resulting in a smoother and more even chin contour.

This procedure is often chosen by individuals seeking to improve the aesthetics of their chin area or achieve a more refined facial appearance.

Gummy Smile

A “Botox gummy smile” refers to a cosmetic procedure where Botox injections are used to treat a gummy smile. A gummy smile is a term used to describe a smile in which a significant portion of the upper gum is visible above the upper teeth when a person smiles. While a gummy smile is natural and not a medical concern, some individuals may feel self-conscious about it and seek treatment for aesthetic reasons.

Botulinum toxin is a neurotoxic protein that, when injected in small amounts, can temporarily paralyze muscles. In the case of a gummy smile, Botox is injected into the muscles that control the movement of the upper lip, reducing the elevation of the lip and thereby minimizing the amount of gum that is exposed when smiling.

The procedure is typically quick and minimally invasive, with minimal downtime.

Nostril Flare Reduction

“Botox nostril flare reduction” refers to a cosmetic procedure that uses Anti Wrinkle injections to reduce the flaring of the nostrils. Botulinum toxin, is a neurotoxic protein that can temporarily paralyze muscles when injected in small amounts. It is commonly used for various cosmetic and medical purposes, including reducing the appearance of wrinkles, treating migraines, and addressing muscle spasms.

In the context of nostril flare reduction, Botox is injected into the muscles around the base of the nose, specifically targeting the muscles responsible for causing the nostrils to flare when a person smiles or makes certain facial expressions. By temporarily weakening these muscles, the flaring of the nostrils can be minimized, leading to a more subtle and aesthetically pleasing appearance.

Masseter/Jawline Slimming

Botox masseter refers to a cosmetic treatment that involves the use of botulinum toxin (commonly known as Botox) to reduce the size and prominence of the masseter muscles in the jaw area. The masseter muscles are the muscles responsible for chewing and are located at the sides of the jaw. When these muscles are overdeveloped or enlarged, they can create a squared or bulky appearance of the jawline, which some individuals may find undesirable.

Botox injections are typically used to treat dynamic wrinkles, such as those that form from facial expressions. In the case of the masseter muscles, injecting Botox weakens the muscle, reducing its ability to contract forcefully. This results in a slimming effect on the jawline and a more oval or V-shaped appearance, which is often considered more aesthetically pleasing.

Botox masseter injections can be used for both cosmetic and therapeutic purposes. Cosmetically, the treatment is sought after by individuals who desire a more defined or feminine jawline. Therapeutically, Botox masseter injections can be used to alleviate conditions like bruxism (teeth grinding) and temporomandibular joint disorder (TMJD), which can cause jaw pain and discomfort.

Nefertiti Neck Lift

The “Botox Nefertiti Neck Lift” is a cosmetic procedure that involves the use of botulinum toxin (commonly known as Botox) to rejuvenate and enhance the appearance of the neck and jawline, mimicking the elegant and youthful neck of the ancient Egyptian Queen Nefertiti. This non-surgical technique is designed to create a more defined and lifted neck and jawline without the need for invasive surgical procedures.

The procedure gets its name from Queen Nefertiti, who is renowned for her graceful and elongated neck depicted in ancient art and sculptures. The goal of the Botox Nefertiti Neck Lift is to recreate a similar aesthetic by targeting specific muscles in the neck and jaw area.

During the procedure, botulinum toxin injections are given into key muscles along the jawline and neck. The Botox works by temporarily relaxing the targeted muscles, which can help reduce the appearance of sagging skin, horizontal necklines, and the “turkey neck” effect. By relaxing certain muscles, the opposing muscles responsible for lifting the area become more prominent, resulting in a lifted and more defined contour.

Underarm Sweating Reduction

Botox for underarm sweating is a medical treatment that involves the use of botulinum toxin, commonly referred to as Botox, to reduce excessive sweating in the underarm area, a condition known as axillary hyperhidrosis. Botox is a neurotoxin produced by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum and is used for various medical and cosmetic purposes.

In the context of treating underarm sweating, Botox works by blocking the signals that stimulate the sweat glands, thereby reducing their activity and decreasing sweat production in the treated area. The procedure involves injecting small amounts of Botox into multiple points in the underarms. The effects of the treatment can last several months, typically around 4 to 6 months, after which additional injections may be needed to maintain the results.

This treatment can greatly improve the quality of life for individuals who suffer from excessive sweating, as it helps reduce embarrassment and discomfort associated with sweat stains and odour.

As with any cosmetic procedure, it’s essential to consult with a qualified and experienced medical professional before undergoing a Botox lip flip or any other cosmetic treatment to discuss your goals, potential risks, and expected outcomes. Here at Facethetics we offer a non-obligatory consultation with all our bookings to access your suitability.
